There appears to be a few 'Ring' lap time threads for other games, but not yet for GTL.

Post your definitive (or not so proud) lap records for the famed Nordschleife here.

I just received my copy of GTL yesterday, and have had a ball plodding around in a Cortina on the 'Ring', although the outlap took so long I wondered when it will end.

Car: Lotus Cortina
Difficulty: Professional
Controller: Keyboard
Lap Time: 10m 43.1s

Let's all do it in one of the TC-65 Class


And as for the outlap..!
You keep going on outlap from the pits, around T1, back up the straight where you take a left for T2.. just after you have passed T2 there will be an area to your right with a JCB or something in it, just go down there, and through a gap at the end of the 'passageway'.
This takes you out just before the finish line and allows you to start a timed lap with approximately 30secs of outlap!!
(If it doesn't work for you and you get a cut track, download the latest version of Nords - 0.9)

Hmmm, might not be worth it for me, due to the high ping (300+). I live in Aus, and the server is in the UK I guess.

Your pings should be good, even from the other side of the world should be very, very fast!


And PV, make sure you have 0.9 and you are running it on DX8 (I think)

If it's still bad, try downloading again (preferably from another host)

Bah, did a 9.55! on standard gearing...might be better with a longer setting.
