A while ago, CT and I spoke to a fella who was trying to launch a race series for 7 type cars at KH. 'Great' we thought, 'get the licence and off we go'.

Nae so sure now. Don't reckon I've got a fraction of the skill needed and certainly not the cojones.

Vid 2

Vid 3

....Do you reckon the guy in the dark blue car had slightly more power than the Irn Bru camera car?.

Just seemed to get it wrong in places especially with grip, yet could keep in front.

Wasn't that precisely what Charlie did in Willie Ball's MegaBlade a few years ago?

I think I've still got the pics somewhere of his loon Craig absolutely covered in mud.

You boys would easily manage that - with racing like that, all you'd need to do would be stay at the back and watch them all fall off/collide etc then sweep up and take the victory!

Strange, and maybe its a Caterham thing, but no-one in any of those vids takes the correct line through the chicane. They all chuck it into the first part when in truth, it can be treated as a straight.

Aye if you get the kink before the chicane right you can treat the chicane as a right hand bend, just watched vid 2 again and the camera car seems to be getting it right but the car in front doesn't, it is getting too far back to the right before the chicane, it looks pretty ragged a few places. Of course I am always smooth as a.... lets think what would I be as smooth as ? possibly a crocodile's wrinkly bits

The camera car was more than a tad optimistic going through the second part of the chicane. Quite likely to get done for breaking the floppy marker and cutting the corner. SMRC/SMMC are very strict about that sort of thing as it breaks the circuit and KH get upset...but they have to let the t*****s from the BTCC off with it.

Not the fastest lap of KH I've seen in a Caterham...looks like they were visiting from down south. The locals are scary fast...

Club racing's great fun. Should definitely give it a try.

Its not that impressive, you sould come to watch the XR2s from Duffus dip until the chicane!

Caterhams are a little skittish but nothing special.
