the bottom end of Micklegate was closed this afternoon. I couldn't see what was happening from the office - does anyone know what happened ?

A frind of mine saw what happened, a bloke threw himself out of the top floor of an hotel after thinking about it for 2 1/2 hours, a crowd of 400 people waited to see him do it, RIP

very poor taste that newspaper article.

a) photo of him falling - pure voyeurism
b) 'timeline' of events - lazy, poor quality jounalism

Regional press is so sh*t these days, just an endless game of 'jazz up the stories'
Calender News particularly bad.

IMHO.

It was the term used on a web news report. Not my wording, only quoting what was on the net.

Wasn't having a go at you, sorry if it sounds that way!

The whole thing seems to have been reported in the most appaling and insensitive way, especially the evening press!

A continuation of the Big Brother TV programme mentality. We're going to hell in a handcart. How can those responsible for this type of reporting rest easy in their beds?
