For those North Notts locals with nothing better to do on the 1st Wednesday of the month theres a small 'classic' car gathering at...

The Griffins Head in Papplewick (The outskirts of Hucknall but don't let that put you off )

The event is very weather dependant, if it's sunny you can expect a large turn out of a wide range of Classic's and Sports stuff, if it's raining there'll probably be 3 Moggy Minors there

It's also a good shoe in for the Rolls Royce Hucknall open day which is sometime in July, as it's got the same organiser.

Cars usually arrive from about 7ish, anything interesting parks on the field.

Well I think that was a cracking display of cars, very diverse, from the concourse E-Types to the Yank pick-ups.

And for those that want more car related standing in a field with a pint there is another monthly meet, this time the 3rd Wednesday of the month at....
Ye Olde Bridge Inn, Nottingham Road, Oxton

It was a good turn-out, wasn't it?

And "M"'s clutch stayed in one piece!

Just another nudge to the usual suspects, it's 1st Wednesday on the 5th so if it's nice and sunny I'll see you there.

Hiya
That Stratos replica was me!
I would have said hello. I Saw your car, but didn't know who you were!
Glad the weather picked up and got everyone out.

I know it's not '1st Wednesday' but is anyone going to the '3rd Wednesday' meet tonight at the Olde Bridge Inn at Oxton?

Not as busy as the Griffins Heads meet, but what did surprise me was other than a few steady regulars there were a lot of cars that don't make the 1st Wednesday meeting, I guess different people have different commitments
Theres always E-Types though.....

Thought this was very cool

Doubt it if this was a real one

and the usual Cobra boys

Did spot and hear a nice black (well a dark colour anyway) T350 go past the entrance.

Yes, but did you spot the red one is a real one?

I was surprised at how lightweight the E-Type wishbones are.

And I've never seen a Cortine 1600E Convertible before.
