What's wrong with the roll bar? What you been up to S? BTW changed my ID from VSP90 to silv. Any ideas on my engine sprocket problem? H and I drove all the way to Oulton Park last Friday and the bl--dy thing came loose half way through the afternoon session. It looks like it is held on with a castle nut thingy which engages with the reverse gear motor. We removed the reverse motor etc some time ago and think the way forward is to replace the castle nut with a nylock and a lock tab washer.

Hi Vic,

Re the towing eyes, we are planning to enter 750mc bikesports in the car this year and I understand the scrutineers are not happy with using the rollbar for towing any more as a number of cars have flipped while being towed using this method.

We had the same problem with the sprocket last year (at Oulton as well) in fact the nut came off and dissapeared somewhere into the scenery !
We currently use a std kawasaki nut and lock washer (without the reverse gear) and have had no issues since.
Problem with the radical one we found was getting enough tourque on it with the dubious radical tool for tightning it.

When are you guys out next ?

Cheers
Shaun

Hi Shaun
When I saw the topic I thought "he is going racing" Let me know the date of your first meet in the SE.
Our next outing is LeMans Bugatti 14th July I can't wait
Thanks for the info on the engine sprocket problem. Do you know the torque setting on the nut from Kawasaki?
Cheers
Vic
