Funnily enough I've just re-installed it after getting my new graphics card so I can play it as full detail, 4x FSAA all bells & whistles and to install the Le Mans and ALMS mods with the DBR9's and the Audi, Dome & Pescarolo prototypes

I still prefer the handling of GTR over GTL, I prefer the flatter stiffer sprung cars

3.75GB of cars and tracks to play with

I'm still on an AGP motherboard but I've got one of the fastest I can get.

Gainward nVidia 7800 "Bliss" with 512mb - as it says in the blurb - "This is the only 7800GT card with 20 pixel pipelines available on AGP. Then along with its 512MB of super-fast GDDR3 memory allowing for great performance."

- GeForce™ 7800 GT GPU running at 425MHz
- 512MB 1200MHz high speed GDDR3 memory
- Superscalar 20-Pipe GPU Architecture
- SILENT Cooling solution
- High-Speed DDR 256-bit Memory Interface
- Dual 400MHz RAMDACs

Just started playing this too - and I agree that whilst GTL is great for close racing, GTR great for brut speed. Can't wait for GTR 2, but in the mean time 3 gig of add-ons will have to do.

Been racing off-line for about a week now - I really need to speed up as the AI are whooping me....

I'll play, as long as theres a way to cure the steering wobble at 200mph, my arms are knacked after 10mins! (I don't just want to turn the force feedback off full stop...)

Or to start on a less powerful note, maybe the Elise/Morgan round Enna, might be nice and close!

I'm up for a Wednesday reunion at 8pm

I still have it installed but haven't used it since my new graphics card, so it should be much better than it was

Get the ALMS2005 mod anyway as the C5 in that has some much more realistic engine sounds, if you have a bass speaker make sure it isn't too close to the PC as the low frequency vibrations may cause it to rattle

If you hadn't said that I wouldn't have downloaded it I'm just trying to find the download link then off to test that theory out
