I recall someone mentioning 'painting alloys' some while back.

I presently have the usual silver alloys and would like to get them painted black,

Does anyone know who does this sort of thing and whether it's successful?

Pure vanity of course

I imagine a wheel restorer is your best bet. They'd just 'recondition' your wheels by sandblasting the silver paint off, and then painting them black.

I think this is the best option too, If the wheels are in good condition the price shouldnt be that much either, its basically a quick sand blast and few sprayed coats of paint - spraying sould be better I think.
