PCM2 Sat Nav Upgrade

Has anyone had this done? It's not cheap and the traffic alerts only work in Europe at the moment not in the UK but apparently you get better mapping and postcode input. It works better on the 997 but I was think of having it done to my 996TT.

Is there a better alternative?
