Try Lancaster Insurance, www.lancaster-ins.co.uk , sales@lancaster-ins.co.uk , 01480 484848. Have done me excellent deals on a couple of V8s so far and state they will be competative when my Holden due.
Thanks DR-Prod that's the best so far at £538-00 the only problem is that they won't offer a protected No Claims Discount (NCD) That's either due to the car or the fact I had an "at fault" Claim last year when some thieving turd nicked my 4x4 Turbo Calibra
I've been quite impressed by the fact that most companies will honor the PNCD and not penalize me for that loss. I was also impressed with the way First Alternative handled the claim but I guess that is how it should be. It just that, historically, the insurance business has that reputation of give and take, you give and they take, that it make a surprising change.

Hi Paul-C. Did you do a "special deal" with these guys 'cus their web quote is comming out at £777.74
Policies I have with them are on an MG ZT260 V8 and a Corvette, trying them when Holdens are due as they advised 'they would be competative' when I asked about other cars including Holdens. Gave them model details out of interest as they weren't on their database. I can only suggest you talk to them rather than use a Web Quote. I found them via www.confused.com.
could be to do with postal codes - area I live in has really bad reputation and because of that theres an additional charge on insurance policies. Brother saved £50 by moving only 5 miles away from here. Could be some companies only insure up to certain levels depending on the area you live in?
