Chimaera 500 Wing Mirror

My drivers door wing mirror surround seems to have rotated out of position. When I use the electric adjustment control it moves, but only to a position that does not show clearly the road behind, only the floor. If I manually adjust the casing upwards seems fine, but driving makes it drop again. Can it be tightened? How do I get at it? Do I need to remove door panel? Any help gratefully appreciated.

...You've got a Chimaera and you want to use the door mirror to see the road behind you!

I use mine for plane spotting as I get a better view of 747's at 30,000 feet than I do of the road or cars behind me

Your grub screw is coming loose by the sounds of it.. either that or the whole mirror asembly is rotating in the thread in the door.
