Probably best to speak to one of the dealers to start off with, you never know what bargains they have

You don't say whether you want a new VXR or a used one. If you look at the classifieds there are some very tempting unregistered ones for sale!

Managed to get mine pretty cheep! 2004 VXR I picked it up in auto trader it was going for £17000 about 4 mths ago, just had to buy it straight up cause i thought it was such a bargain! Found out recently it was used in the Top Gear program, so there is a little salt water damage surprisingly!!! but all is covered under warranty at the mo so not stressing to much about it yet. Happy hunting anyway.

You are probably looking at about £10k to change.

IMHO probably better to spend that on mods and keep the big boot....

must admit I am tempted to look for a trade up as well to simplify getting the bigger wheels, exhaust, brakes, engine, better suspension etc but I'd miss the big boot and I'm still not entirely convinced I like the VXR shape better than my 04 models smooth curves. I know her indoors doesnt like the VXR shape so it'd probably mean a divorce as well
