What do you guys think about this? Must be quite something to drive - and it's certainly a lot of HP per EUR... At the same time I suppose such an engine would require a complete revisions after a few thousand km/miles (?)

Rearrange these words.

Bargepole, touch, wouldn't, a, with,

I have it on good authority( a German tuner) that these things are a pile of pooh.

Fine for a 200mph dash but don't think you'll get a 3 year warranty.

Not built with a view to lasting more than 10mins.

Competitors had a car in to compare with their own and had a very good look at the performance mods by 9ff. Needless to say they were not impressed with what they found.

Just read latest copy of evo with a test of 9ff's Cayman.

Apparently their Cayman was faster around VW's test track than a 997 GT3. However, in achieving this it also blew the engine...!! Great figures and surely fast as hell but the reliability on these must be a pig..!!

Wouldn't touch it.

I looked inside the 9FF cars engine bay at the Essen Motor Show (the car that set their top speed) and I've seen better engineering on cars done by Halfords. They are a great publicity seeker, but not a tuner of substance and reliability like Ruf, RS, Sportec, Techart etc.....

Have you noticed that in many of the magazine articles about their cars, the cars tested do not have the right engines engine in (since they have blown up), or cannot go fast because they are being 'run in'..........

Thanks for the comments... sounds pretty consistent. Would still be curious to see how a 870HP GT2 can be driven...

I suspect they are very good at clearing roadside hedges!
