Hi, I was wondering how long it takes for a speeding ticket, or traffic light ticket to come through the post? is it true that after 14 days the ticket is void?

Also if i see a radar on the motorway bridge and i go under it too fast, does the police have to stop me , or can they just issue a ticket through the post?

I got stopped last week at 11.30pm on a countrylane doing 43 in a 30 and miraculously after the cop gave me his powertrip over me he let me off with a caution. I think you just have to be polite, not say anything, look remorseful in your face then chances are cops will be more lenient. plus i have now gone 30 in a 30 and 40 in a 40 for the past week and will continue to do so

The police have 14-days (the day of the alleged offence doesn't count) to serve a NOIP on you. If it arrives later than that then you may* have a legitimate defence.
