Any recommendations on track day cover?
Poxy Elephant won't cover me so need an additional policy.
I tried trackdays.co.uk but they quoted £285 for one days' cover with a limit of £30k and the car is worth £40k. Any ideas, just need one days' cover for an OPC track day.

Try

www.competition-car-insurance.co.uk/

It is not cheap to insure for one off track use but you can decide how much cover you want / need. The excess is 10% of the cover you request and the premiums are roughly £100 per £10k insured (at least thats what I paid for ring cover)

BTW - if this cover is for the PCGB bedford track day this weekend, there is buer all to hit so I wouldn't insure anything more than about 50% of the cars value...

Too late now - but always get your Track Day cover included in your road cover. Even if the premium is a couple of hundred quid more its NOTHING to single day cover...

You could always jack in your Elephant policy and get cover from "Performance Marque" or "Anne Manning"'s lot. Both very good and with the sort of policy you need.

Google should find both of those within a page or so... and both should be listed in the back of Porsche Post.

Thanks chaps. I'd assumed I'd have to cover the whole cost of the car but that's not really necessary assuming I don't do a multiple roll fireball death thing
I'll check when my policy expires, if it's soon enough I might get a new policy through one of the ones recommended. Either way Elephant are in the bin.
