Having bought my car in April, I notified Tracker of the change of owner and address, I also gave them my direct debit details and the £30 registration fee (which could only be paid by cheque).

Several weeks later I recived an invoice off them requesting payment of the above. I checked my bank statement and found out they'd already cashed the cheque for the registration fee.

i wrote them a letter requesting confirmation of the fact I was the new owner/subscriber and the supporting documentation of this fact, within seven days.
The above was not forthcoming so I rang and made it clear I thought that they as a company were a shower of st.

The very polite lady (genuinely) in customer service told me the automatic re-registration hadn't worked but that as she'd now made the input manually my documents would be with me within the next 5 days, that was over a fortnight ago.........................
Has anyone else had the misfortune to have dealt with this bunch of to**ers ? And just how do I get documentation to prove that I have a Tracking system fitted to the car ?

I had a bit of a nightmare with Tracker, I bought my 996 about a month ago - I have all the paper work from tracker saying that the tracker is paid for until December of this year.

I sent off the transfer form, and heard nothing, so I call them and I'm told due to data protection they cant tell me if the tracker is active on my car (I already know it is and paid for until December) and they want a years payment from now or it will be switched off as the owner has changed. I said what about the payment made until December, the guy said "it's the previous owners loss". They then called me back 4/5 times over the next few days trying to get me to pay.

So as of now, I have it switched off, I just begrudge giving them any money when it was already paid for until December, seems a con!

Going thru nightmares with Tracker ................frankly sick of it , insurance insists however ..................try Lizzie Shaw , Senior lady customer services and finally been dealing with Therese Quinn-Jones ............i now ask for them by name ,sincerely hope they meant what they told me last Friday .......when at 4 15 another lady via email told me my car had been suspended, then went straight home [ agreed value £100k plus], thus invalidating my ins at that time on a Friday with no chance of any discussion, no warning ................reason, she said i had nt paid! At that time i was holding in my hand their receipt from Jan 2006 = 1 year paid ............still awaiting explanations ..................these 2 people really did try and help ,Good luck; i had not planned to spend the rest of my ,debateably ,useful life waiving my receipt in the air !!!

Yes, they are a ing awful shower of s.

Would never purchase their shite product again.

Customer service is appalling and full of the kind of tossers you have already encountered, ie they will promise anything (to get you off the phone) but actually do bugger all.

They will also deny that you ever called them in the first place when you call to chase up the actions they have not carried out.

Most companies make a point of telling you by automated message, before you speak to someone if you're lucky, that their phone calls are recorded. I take it that Tracker don't then? If they do then throw this back at them when they deny you called them previously!

I think they legally need to tell you before you speak to someone that they intend to record your call due to data protection laws, but I don't remember that being said when I phoned - so one would assume they do not record... or do they?

I went with one of thier competitors on the basis of too many threads on here complaining about their customer service.

So they have lost my business and probably others too.......
