Saw a couple of people racing tandoms at Ard rock at the weekend, you guys must have balls of steel?
Yeah i got overtaken on stage 2 by a father daughter combo on a Nicolai, they really weren't hanging about (until they got to the tighter stuff).https://www.rootsandrain.com/photos/1109497
After years and years of only ever buying parts and building my own, I've finally (kind of) bought a complete bike.
Just waiting on delivery of the nice day wheels so on the commuters for now. I've only recently had my wisdom teeth out so haven't ridden it in anger yet. Needless to say I've licked it several times.
Will post some better pics when the wheels are on and I'm not carrying a baby.

is the saddle in the right position for you?

That's been through a Retul fit! But no, having ridden it for a quick 15 miles to check, it doesn't feel as comfortable as my other bikes - I felt too cramped up. I'll be going to the guy that's done my others to have a look. As the fit was free I thought no harm in using itis the saddle in the right position for you?
I would think it's only marginal though. The bars need to come down a fraction just to meet my commuter bike drop, and I obviously want this to be more aero than that! Saddle back a little bit too.

I'd set the saddle at 0 deg. The thing is with Retul etc is it all depends on the guy. Not saying your man wasn't good but I've heard reports of inconsistent results from various places.
I'd agree with that. He was all about getting the numbers sorted - didn't actually ask how I felt! it was 'free' so not all that worried. Thorpy said:

Yeah i got overtaken on stage 2 by a father daughter combo on a Nicolai, they really weren't hanging about (until they got to the tighter stuff).2012 Stevens Vapor disc (10-speed Ultegra) cyclocross bike upgraded for easier cycling uphill with Shimano Cass Deore Xt 10SPD M771 11-36,
Shimano XT RDM771SGS Rear Derailleur (9-speed MTB to work with the 10-speed Ultegra shifter) and a new KMC 10-speed chain. It works! the hardest bit: removing the crimp off the end of the cable to fit the new derailleur (I super glued the end of the cable to prevent it fraying). I didn't shorten the chain at all. p.s. I left the washer underneath the cassette in place, front chainrings also have changed 36 to 34, and 46 to (52 I think).
