More alarm problems

Sheffield based this time. Looking for someone that could help sort out an alarm/immobiliser on my TVR. Basically works but seems to have a mind of its own..

I think he also needs someone to sort out the other electrical gremlins on his car, some people are trying to persuade him to take up a more realistic/less demanding hobby, like alchemy for instance

Errr.. No. The place I used to service the car said they'd sorted it. Luckily it lasted through Eurohoon and know heaven only knows what it is actually doing. Flashing lights to tell me the alarm is set correspond with the immobiliser not being set etc etc.. Grrr..

The electrical problems I can cope with myself, but the flat lobe on the cam is goign to require more skilled attention

Explains the somewhat erraticv running of late..

Losing the last 5 mph then - the rest is down to pilot planning. I'm certain your not as bad as minimax - but only just.

TADT on the rover V8's after about 50,000 miles IIRC...while the cam is being replaced why not get a slightly lumpier one? for that cool lumpy idle sound and a bit more of a raggit! sort of driving style

I've no idea.. I've only been in one car that from new you managed to kill in less than 24 hours..

Anyway, back to topic.. Any alarm/immobiliser experts around? Could also do with an autoelectrician if truth be told..

I have used a chap called Steve from Autotronix on City Road ona couple of occasions...he wasn't too bad. Otherwise have you thought about Simon at Technicar on Abbeydale Road? I had a few systems installed by them a few years ago.

There's a guy on here called leebus, mail him or look in the local yellow pages under auto electrics and he is in there under the same name, he is good and has had a few TVR's and has still got one.
