Take a look at this! If you can figure it out well done but I bet this is the most intense explanation anyone could give on why and how much power is lost through the tyres for you RR types - quote this back at an operator and see what they say!

Would they understand though?

Blimey thats a rewad and a half, good case for hub dynos (no tyres) for power results...

It really depends on what you are using a dyno for. I am more interested in the increase in power following any modifications, whether I use a hub dyno or not doesn't matter to me as long as I use the same dyno each time.

Maybe that is a naive view though!

I'm on the same wavelegth as you Daz... Except I didn't get a baseline donw... My figures are recorded at TMS. I wouldn't use them to fettle with "The Boss" (they dont really do Monaros) but I will always take it back there to see the differences.

Nothing naive about it..

Some people just want that big number on a dyno graph.

Others want real performance gains, and dont care what the graph says.
