Sports exhaust for 2001 Boxster S?

I've always thought that the standard exhaust on the Boxster is seriously uninspiring and by a strange coincidence any demonstrator I have driven at a dealers has always had a sports exhaust fitted. The Porsche unit seems seriously expensive. I know that there is a catalyser issue which might emerge during a future MOT test. Is it worth going for a 'Tubi' or similar or some other after market fitting. I would like to get that little bit more fun out of my '01 Boxster S.

Any recommendations?
