For those who maybe want to change from stock and gain a few hp extra. Been trawling the web all morning looking at GTO LS1 upgrades - some amazing deals out there if you import from the states and are prepared to do some install work yourself. One supplier has a complete header, exhaust, fast flo cats, 85mm maf, tune kit, rockers complete for around 1800ukp + import and carriage charges. Gives typical performance figure of around 421bhp.

SLP has a mixed rap. Also bear in mind you are talking LHD so headers wont fit RHD vehicles.
But I agree with choosing your bits to import. What with Vauxhall charging hundreds of pounds for a sub £100 water pump you would be mad not to.

hmm didnt realise the headers were specific to lhd or rhd - one of the dangers of looking at this stuff when you dont really have a clue what you're on about Loads of interesting bits of hardware on these sites and at low prices as well.

Must admit, was surprised how well the carb intake did, in n/a tune once properly setup, and the MAF in the bin where it should be.
