993 wheels and tyres advice
Discussion
Some advice please on good experiences and recommendations .
About to have the alloys refurbished on a 993 and it needs new rear tyres too. It currently runs on 18" turbo style wheels with 285/35/18s .
Best tyres ? life/grip and noise levels ?
Can anyone recommend a good wheel fettler and someone who will put the tyres on if we buy them off the shelf or off the net.The idea is to avoid having the wheels done , then to have some herbert damage the wheels putting the new tyres on.
Happy to deliver the wheels for refurbing and tyre fitting , or have it done at home.
thanks
daniel

Where in the country are you, doesn't say on your profile.
Best bet from my experience (Pirellis, Bridgestones, Michelins) is Continental SportContact N2's. Dry and wet grip, wear rate, noise, and cost, these are the best compromise.
I paid about £380 for the last pair i had, fitted - Bracknell Tyre and Battery, best price and they'll look after your wheels.
