anybody know what this is?

first time trying to post pic so hope it works
does anybody know what this is its located next to the rear view mirror on the passenger side first thoughts where a microphone for a hands free but i havent a clue how it works or wether its for something else like the alarm the light in the center turns green when the ignition is on

It's actually just there to very subtly ligt up the interior/dash area at night. Sorry but it has nothing to do with mirror.
