Bugger those firewalls! It's to enable Flash banners. I'll see if I can find a non-ActiveX way of displaying them in IE. Any knowledgable readers know the answer before I go spend hours investigating?

When you say the firewall's going mental - what sort of messages do you get?

It keeps giving me the option to block/permit Active X control from www.pist etc. but because there appears to be control on most pages and they change each time it won't allow a rule to "always allow". Also the only reason I can overide it is because of the level of access I have. I assume you might have blocked totally some members this morning

Mmm... I really don't want to have to make people decide. The code detects whether someone can play Flash or not and selects accordingly. You've stuck in some middle ground. Anyone else having problems with the Flash stuff?

Ted, Don't worry about it if it's only me. I've phoned my pet Geek and told him that I want to use this site when I feel like it without having to keep saying "allow active X" anyway he's changed the firewall configuration and put in some rule that says "no active X except Teds" so I'm happy again. Oh its good to be the boss at times.

I'm not getting any messages, though these may be getting filtered out by our IT dept. However the Pistonheads home page takes a long time to load. I noticed this has been the case since you moved servers last week.
