Anyone got any good recommendations for staying near Spa? Notwithstanding the need to do a track day, we are looking for somewhere with a bit of atmos, where a few beers can be sunk.

We are there Monday 16th Oct, with Easytrack should anyone else be going...

Try the hotel Beau Site in Francorchamps. Small family run, good food, reasonably priced and excellent beer. Tel. 003287275204. Usually lots of Brit car owners there as well.

Another vote for the Beau Site. I stayed there 4 or 5 years ago. I seem to remember eating wild boar for dinner, a few first class Belgian beers and, well, nothing else silly Link www.spa-info.be/beausite/

There are some excellent hotels in Spa itself, apparently, but I understand they can be quite a bit more expensive.... You pays your money and you takes your choice....

another vote for the hotel beau-site - been there several times. rene is a thoroughly helpful chap, the wild boar is fantastic and the rooms are a reasonable rate and clean. there was even an unsecured wireless LAN last week when we were there :-)

I believe some PH'ers are staying at the Radisson Spa Balmoral. I may well be joining them.
I'm doing the Tuesday 17th October Spa day with Easytrack, preceded by the public afternoon at the 'Ring.

Thanks, got to your responses belatedly and have now been booked into the 'Best Western' in Spa itself, which despite the awful name looks OK, and is right in the town next to the casino. So things could get expensive......

Will be there Sunday & Monday night if anyone is around and wants to compare notes.

Best value for money these days is the Radisson in central Spa (called Palace in the webpage below).

165-200 Euro a night!!!!!!!

Relais de Pommard is half that in Francourchamps.

But we like the Radisson Palace too.

I stayed at the Dorint - was a gorgeous room if a bit expensive iirc.
