playing other people on Xbox live

Is it just my bad luck or do i draw the attention of all the stupid people that scream down the mic (normally yank kids or chav kids over here), or keep swearing and calling me a Cnut etc. Is there a place where i can join up and play other people that are able to play a game and have a chilled out chat and not act like they have been pulled out an elephants arse backwards?

Nope- you're not alone. I haven't really indulged in PG3 online as I'm not too good and I seem to end up on someone's custom track with impossible bends everytime I've had a crack at it.
But I do like to indulge in a bit of Call of Duty 2 and recently I seem to keep ending up with the same problem as you so I mute the talking, which is a shame as when you play with some intelligent folks the banter does add to the game.

I will host if you want, Ive bought all the extra cars and won all the others in the game, ill admit im not too hot online but its still good fun (even if I am getting laughed at for being last all the time)
all you need is to download the free patches before sunday and I can enable all the new cars so you can use them even though you aing purchased, this is what I usually do for a few friends.
so shall we start a new thread and get this off the ground?
