I was curious if anyone at PH ever Imported or Exported a car to the U.S. or Canada.I saw some really nice cars for sale on the PH Classifieds and was wondering if the logistics and taxes would make it a nightmare to buy and ship from England to the U.S.A.I live on the East Coast.N.J.in the U.S.A.,about 8 miles from Port Newark,and Newark Airport.I was wondereing what it would cost and how long it would take if I purchased a car from England.Lets say from PistonHeads Classifieds for example.I was told,Not to even try it,It would cost a Fortune and take forever.I would really like to know from the PistonHeads here.You are experienced at these sort of things.Thanks in Advance.......Eddie Zak

the americans like to expose the world to everything US, but they dont like the idea of there own people buying anything back??
I thinks something pre-1972 is do-able but anything after that that wasn't built for US export market in the first place is a no no.
I believe one lad from here took a cerbera to the states and can esentially use it on license for 12months, after which time the car must leave america or be crushed.
