Powerful new Elise

A friend of mine is toying with the idea of an Elise S2 190 as a 'fun car'. He loves the S1 190Bhp. Have tried searching but didnt get far so can you guys tell me if there is a similar equivilent in the S2 - I think they do a 190 but the wait for one is months! What can be done about upping the power in a 111s to save the wait/costs, etc.....?

The 111s is the VVC engine which seems to have less tuning options than the standard engine.

There is the Turbo Technics Supercharger option for the VVC which gives about 215bhp and 185ft/lbs. Probably cheaper than the Lotus fitted VHPD 190 engine and much more driveable. Mine is in the factory now and I paid the deposit 2 months ago.

You can get an S2 190 - base price is £34K though !

Better off getting a second hand S2 for £19K and spending £9K on the TT230bhp supercharger and £3K on the S2 sport suspension/wheel package - then yo have the handling of the 190sport, with much more power ;-)

PTP-ltd.co.uk do a few upgrades for the 111s such as the ITG induction kit, Janspeed silencer and Motorsport catalyst
