Has anyone ever raced a new turbo against the old '88?
Discussion
I just wondered. I spotted an old 911 parked outside my flat the other day and noted compared to my more portly version that..
1. It looked so small (Didn't when I was a kid!)
2. Much more narrow.
So I got wondering if the old widow maker had ever gone head to head with it's younger brother (or erm, cousin)

...i had a red 930 turbo stuck to my tail in my 996 along some fast but twisty linconshire b roads. He wasn't getting any smaller in my rear view mirror despite pushing to the limit. Only when he got caught off boost exiting a corner did i pull any sort of a gap. It was a fun and very memorable drive....being chased by the "athena" heart throb from my youth!

but your comparing a C2 with a Turbo there...
It would actually be interesting to see how the 'entry level' 911's stacked up as well as the turbo's..

yes, deffo, I have planned a good route TO the secret road rather than going the same way again, shall I start organising boss?
Go ahead mate, I'm sure Mr. D will join us in his 997TT this time. I tried to chase him down a bumpy back road recently and he left me for dead. That car lets you do anything!
