Factory Collections ??
Discussion
Just wondering if there have been real changes to the actual factory collection 'experience' in the last 8 years.
1. Does anyone know if the new museum is finished yet ?
2. Has anyone visited the Mercedes museum in Stuttgart during the trip ?
3. I take it the charge for the collection is for one person, is it double for 2 ??
4. Finally is the GT3 made at same factory as the other 911's ?
Cheers.

I cannot help with all of your questions, but can tell you that when visiting the Porsche factory a couple of weeks ago we were told that
the new museum will be ready by next year (autumn I think).
The new Mercedes museum is open - but I've not been so don't know how good it is.
The 911 is the only car built at the Zuffenhausen site, they do a mixed production line which includes the GT3 too, there were lots of them around ready for dispatch.

No, the charge covers two people. Incidentally they do make a few Boxsters there each week - just to keep on top of the production process thereby enabling them to keep on eye on those Finns! All cars travel down the same line - although I've never heard of a Boxster getting a 911 motor by mistake - more's the piy!
