I will need a new clutch on the C4S quite soon, planning to sell the car in January. Could anyone recommend a good independent dealer as the guy at my OPC said that would be £1200 and not keen to spend that much when I am selling shorty.

I got a similar quote from a London (not west) OPC and so rang around three or four other independants (greater london). They all quoted around 800 (less for non branded clutch). Haven't used any before so can't recommend etc..

Waiting on a quote from another OPC which i think will be cheaper. Will update later.

Mine's only lasted 17k miles - guessing it's my "spirited" (read cr@p) driving style.

now that seems a bargin, for £800 you get clutch & weekend away with misses/er "other" so less ear bashing, who says these cars a expensive to run..

No need to say get SMR done to put purchesers mind at rest
