I was thinking of all the car factories which were once in and around Coventry- jaguar, Triumph, Standard, Coventry Climax, Alvis, Armstrong-Siddley, Humber, Hillman, etc etc.

I would like to see these sites- to see what is there now. Might sound a bit boring, but I would like to do it one sunday. Does anyone know the locations of all the old factories?

There's not a lot to see anymore I'm afraid.

Following on from another thread the best place to start is the Coventry Transport Museum and Gaydon Heritage Centre. They will be able to pinpoint the sites exactly and provide photos of the original facilities which will make any tour a bit more meaningful.

Also where the new Sainsbury's is was the former Rover factory.
