I'm sure that'll be added very easily.

Anyway I'm dropping hint's about how easy it would be to make a TVR Tuscan Challenge mod, only one car model needed so shouldn't be too difficult to do

I can model/texture a TVR if someone gets me some decent prints/low perspective schematics/photos...

Looking into getting rFactor soon, meant to be a really good sim/developer base!

Then you need the RFX mod for rFactor - http://gplmz.bcsims.com/index.php?sho

Installed GTR2 this morning.....

Awesome game, much improved from the first. The sounds are still excellent, after playing the demo I was concerned that the straght cut gear noise was wrong but its spot on again, unlike GTL and Rfactor which both have dodgy sounding straight cuts....intermittent meshing sounds even when on the power at low revs etc....

TBH as much as I like Rfactor I can't see a gt mod outdoing this game for a while.

You do know that GTR2 (Simbin) use a licensed version of the Gmotor2 physics engine from ISI who developed it and ISI are the makers of rFactor? So it's the same thing although Simbin have added the rain option themselves, which looks a bit poor on the screen. I can see no reason for it to be any different.

Ps. they are also converted GTR2 cars as well in RFX

PPS and the tracks from GTR2 converted to rFactor are here too - www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=299596&f=108&h=0&p=2

Yeah I was aware of that, however GTR2 is much more polished as a gt sim in terms of immersion and overall quality.

That sounds a bit dodgy to me. What is simbins view of that?

What about the phys parameters that go into the mods for rf? the pcc mod was well dodgy. Id expect the car parameters that have gone into gtr2 to be pretty good, as they have plenty of access to the real cars. Have the mod makers for RFX just copied the data over from GTR2? Isnt that illegal?

Not dodgy at all, it's only RSC that says that Simbin conversions aren't allowed to be posted on their forum and no ISI conversions allowed in the GTR2 section. Doesn't stop all the GTR2 people from converting the rfactor things anyway like Essington and the F1 cars. They are all talking about doing them, they'll just post them elsewhere.

But just because people are doing it doesnt make it right. thats like saying all the worlds p2p pirate music traffic is not dodgy.

ive never seen the problem with RSCs view of converted copyrighted content from one product to another, especially when its something that needs very little modification to get it to work when you talk about GTR/GTR2 to rf (both isi engined games). If people want the Simbin content, let them buy GTR2.

imo of course!

A lot of add-on tracks and cars for games are conversions from other games, be they GPL (every Nurburgring version for all games like GTR, GTR2, GTL, rFactor F1C, Nascar2003 etc...) comes from the GPL original, tracks and cars that can be traced right back to games like SCGT and others. It happens all the time. Same with 1st person shooter games, lots of maps and levels converted from one game to another.
