I cant believe someone paid £410 for those accounts. I know what i'll be doing with mine when i'm done. That'll cover a new new intercooler for the wagon

How long does it take to get to a level 60+?
I can see a new source of income here

About 300 hours the first few times, going down to 200 hours or so when you know what you are doing.
You won't get many epics just doing that, you'll need to spend around another 300 hours at least running instances to get epics. The account that was sold probably had around 1200-1500 hours played on it.

So in other words you aren't going to make a living at it, the Chinese players who farm for gold or level up characters for you are paid pennies to do so and it's against the T&C laid out by the developers.

A lot of this 'farming' is done on automated bots that they have running around. Its quite common to do this to get gold and materials, although Blizzard and the players can notice wooden bot behaviour (the bots can respond to whispers and basic questions but nothing complicated !) and ban the account if they find them.

I dont think its worthy of an income (certainly not one that you would use to pay a mortgage !) but if i can sell my account once i am done with WOW for some cash then why not !? This is going to be around for some time - its a subscription service so the content is constantly evolving and growing...its superb.

BTW is anyone else on WOW? I'm a level 29 Priest on Laughing Skull if anyone wants to join me and 3 others

I have a few characters kicking around Are you guilded yet?

I'll probably start playing again once I get my net connection back, as the other half has started uni and I should have more time to play.

What's your name? I'll whisper you once I've created a character on the server. My last guild imploded with internal politics and I lost interest, it'll be good to be back playing with people who don't take everything too seriously...

Anybody else fancy joining? an official PH guild would be a laugh.

No myself and my 2 mates arent in a guild at the minute. I'm not too bothered to be honest but if we got a few of us from here on WOW then i would be interested in a Pistonheads guild as we'll play nicely and share our toys

My main character is called Dachande on Laughing skull. I have plenty of enchants, money, and tailoring skills to help anyone on their way

I used to play a game called Ultima Online and advanced accounts used to go for around $5000 at the height of the games popularity. I don't think selling accounts or items was restricted by the games developers either so there was a lot of it about.

i'd be up for joining a PH guild. I currently play a lvl 29 Gnome Warlock (Called Thegofer). I created my account on Draenor last year but it seems to always be full these days, so'd be willing to move over to a new realm.

You are more than welcome to join me and my small group of friends (we have about 6 people on now) on laughing skull - We have some very good team players so it makes the game a lot more satisfying

Rob - i'm surprised you are having bad ping times these days, are you on broadband ? Are you using a European realm ? What sort of ping are you getting ? For some reason mine fluctuates between 30ms and 200ms depending on where i am in Azeroth, but its doent really cause a big problem ?

NZ is a long way from the euro servers At best 800ms, typicalt 1-2 seconds, 4-5 at worst, not good for a priest...
