Does any one know if ITV are showing any live coverage of this weekends China GP qualifying session(s)on any of it's channels?
I cant seem to find it listed.
If not, why? considering the world championship situation.

Only seems to be this - Sat ITV1 - 3:10pm qualifying (not live but full coverage not highlights)

No live coverage I can find, should be 7am, thought ITV2, 3 or 4 might but they seem to be too busy with very important shopping programs. rolleyes

Thanks for that gents.
Looks like its prerecorded coverage only, my problem is i'm hopeless at not finding out the results before watching any thing thats not live.

Exactly why ITV shouldn't have F1.

Everything to play for and no room on their four channels at 7am.

i check the ITV F1 website to see what time the qualifying starts on TV and ITV think its a good idea to put the qualy result on the homepage. a spoiler, i believe they call it.. although i can think of a few more choice words. no point in watching if i know the f***ing result. useless f**kers!!

DONT LOOK AT THE ITV F1 SITE BEFORE QUALY!!!!!

I just went onto the main BBC news page and spoilt my afternoons viewing by seeing a heading 'xxx grabs China pole' damb.

Just sent a snotty email to ITV. As we've no option other than to wait for their delayed coverage, the least they can do is hide the results in an article with a non-giveaway headline on their front page.

ITV's reply in response to my "why not show the qually at 6am when all it would be disrupting is teleshopping" question was:

ITV broadcasts the majority of F1 qualifying live but when Grand Prix
take place in countries whose time zones differ greatly from GMT it has
an impact on our schedule and other broadcasting commitments.

Sounds like Teleshopping ranks higher in the list of importance than F1 it would seem.

They seem to be more than happy to show the WRC in the early hours of the morning.

ITV F1 website also states the race coverage starts at 5am whereas the ITV TG guide on the web says 6am with the race to start a 7.

Yeah, it was spoilt for me also, as predicted.
At best It's a very poor performance from ITV, at worst, they just don't care.

Simply because the wouldn't dream of showing that primetime. Hide it out of the way when there's nobody to watch it - except insomniac motorsort fans!

As for Teleshopping - they pay for that airtime.

Yes, race starts at 7am out time, don't bother getting up early for a 6am start it'll just be Steve Ryder and Boring Blunder in the studio here. They haven't bothered sending them out to China for this one.
