Big Cheese

Was there till around 4:30pm stayed to watch the morgans after the downpoor then had to shoot of as we had friends coming round for tea...

How was the driver in the porche in the end, spotted his car in the pits later and not much left by the time they cut him out..

was the mixed race around 12ish with the caterams, noble,
Tvr tuscan, porche 924, and elise. A porche and cateram touched coming round coram curve heading towards russels, the porche then ended on the infield sideways heading towards the barriers at a goood 60 mph + and due to the rain didn,t slow down at all and hit the barrier full side on and demolished the barrier they were a good 3/4 of an hour before the race restarted

i was up there on the saturday, managed to get a bit sunburnt!
great day with some good racing (the people i was with were in the RGB championship), one of the funnyiest races was the saxmax lot (for 14 - 17 year olds in saxo vts), within about 2 laps most of the previously pristine cars had all manner of bits hanging off, mirrors, indicators, wheel arch trims, bumpers!

nice to snetterton looking quite nice as well, with all sorts of new bits being put in.just need a couple of grandstands now!

Thanks Martin.

That's a real shame, I had quite a few good races against Steve last year.

Motoring News suggests it was Chris Varey, blue 968. (I wasn't there on Sunday so don't know first hand)

I was there, it was some crash indeed; in the Roadsports formula I think. I would have thought the speed would have been much higher than 60 coming off where he did (double that maybe).

The three marshals that stood watching and leaning on the armco as he slid straight toward them were lucky they finally realised that running away might be a good idea... the car hit the armco and jumped 5/6 foot in the air over the top. Luckily it didn't roll but must have been a hell of a bang.

I'm really glad the chap was ok, we were very concerned about him.
