Well the stock silencers on the Mustang never really cut it but when I imported a shedload of parts for my GT, I included a set of Corsa mufflers which I fitted to produce a louder idle and a more profound top end blare. They did everything they promised, no drone, possibly a few more horses, but when you have 460 plus horses to exercise, you find that 90% of the time, you never get to hear those pipes sing without travelling at silly velocities.

So they had to come off in favour of a ProSpeed system. My thanks and full endorsement goes to Charlie who fulfilled his brief to produce some silencers that made the note deeper and more resonant so I could enjoy the V8 rumble at walking pace as well. As a bonus, the pipes produce the mildest resonance at low rpm and thenceforth the pipes are drone-free which is quite an achievement. So full marks to Charlie:

Well I gave it a blast up to the Nant Ddu Lodge last night. It sounded fantastic and the car never set a foot wrong.

Let me know if you're passing Ponty for a quick blast again mate - if you wouldn't mind, I'd love to come along just to hear how she sounds!
