Nintendo DS or DS Lite
Discussion
My daughter wants top buty a nintendo with her birthday money (she's 7) and wants a Nintendo DS with the free Dog game (£99).... the Nintendo lite is £99 on it's own plus anothe £29 for the game. Is it worth spending the extra or are they just the same but one is smaller?

Essentially the same, the lite is smaller, screen is clearer and a little sharper and they made a couple of tweaks to where things were positioned like the mic. As to whether it's worth another £30, that all depends, you might well be able to find the lite with a free game bundled in, gamestation do so with selected titles and i'm sure if you asked nicely enough they might throw it in for only a little extra.
I'd say the screen is significantly better on the lite than the DS that I've seen.
While they've both got the same functionality, the lite seems a much better finished product. Less clunky looking, I find its ergonomically better and the battery lasts longer. If feels more robust too, but I haven't really abused either of them
GameStation are doing the lite for £110 with any game. I'd say the lite is well worth £10 over the old DS, at £30 it'd be a slightly harder call.
