Just got back in from a great day out with you guys. Fantastic roads and good company. The Helmsley road has got to be my fav bit of the whole day, both there and back. But I imagine Jim may disagree as he managed to hole his sump on the jumps.

Look forward to seeing some of the photos and movies. thumbup

I had a good day up until I discovered the oil patch. Sh*t happens. I go out and play, and sometimes I break my toys cry

Thanks to Zebra and mrs Zebra for breakfast and hospitality.

Movies when I get the gear back (I'll have to look at the replay)

When's the next one.....

Just like to say thanks to Zebra and tvrbob for the route, some really cracking roads there (no pun intended crowley). Really enjoyed the day, good turnout, no abuse from locals and some great driving.

I'd like to add more but i've got to go and get ready to see paul daniels tonight (yes the real one) (oh and don't ask).

PS when i got home there was an SP30 on the kitchen table (first one in 11 years of driving tho)

PPS Can't wait to see the video

Pleased to hear you had a good time folks, sorry I missed this one. Hope the damage isnt too bad on the car that bottomed out. Will try and get up for the next one, maybe in BG instead of the Skoda.

Just got back, going to have some dinner before doing a mega post about the day and uploading all the photos, but thanks to everyone who turned up, thanks to bob for the second half of the day and thanks to satch for trying to kill me when he waved me by as a car was coming. Bloody hell, you know who your mates are!

well, I'll start then.

Zebras' creative parking......

Satch's width judgement

closed pub....

and NO NOODLES.......

My parking?.........What white line?

Width Judgement?....Heart attack inducing driving!

Closed pub..... agreed but nicely rectified by bob's conjuring up of a private bar.

Flyboy - your dad turned up but left us for dead at 9.05am and we never saw him again. However, before he left he said to remind you that you had to get your homework finished for school on Monday.

:ahem: and the noodles.....

I know how wide my car is (albiet with driver a pound or two lighter).

I waved you to go past but not at that point.....

You keep bringing the noodles up, well in manner of speaking anyway; I thought you would have learnt your lesson after the msg comment.

Mrs zebra can bear a grudge.

You'll also notice from Toon Hoon I that I've added Dave's rotting salsa wrap which I managed to extract from the car last week.

Got to agree about the good comany and good roads. I hope to meet up with you guys again next time you come south to Yorkshire. I may even find myself north of the border and come and join you in the far north.

Great afternoon out

Thanks to everyone for a great day - I really enjoyed my first toon hoon. Hope to see you all at the next one.

By the way Ian, have BMW asked you to re-write the section in the user's manual re. how to run in a new car?
