DaveB,

This is the first time I've received any complaints from your company.

We can't be expected to act unless we're told about any comments that you deem unfair.

If you'd like to point out what was said then I'll investigate. Posters are of course responsible for their own comments but we will help out if alerted to breaches of our rules of posting.

Mail me or please use the normal channel of clicking on 'report' next to an offending post.

I'd also like to know what associated sister sites you're referring to.

Ted

Well said Ted.

If the original poster takes issue with a posting by a member then there is a well developed procedure for complaining and requesting the removal of a posting under the "notice and takedown provisions" which have existed in English Law for many years following the High Court case of Godfrey v Demon Internet from 1988 (IIRC) (amongst others...)

PS Libel is written defamation, slander can only be spoken.......

Ted I am here if advice is needed.

I clearly stated I was not prepared to put the "oil" supplied in any engine, scrap or not due to mechanical sympathy, and offered it back to the gentleman in question, after several months of no reply it ended up in the rightful place.
