And how often do you actually see work being done?
Can never see why a single lane of a motorway needs a 40mph limit when a twisty single track road has a 60mph limit.
40mph is fine to protect the workers definately and i don't think anyone would object to this at all it's just the frustration of being stuck at a crawl for mile when there no body there.

That's why in the 'states the signs say "Fines are doubled when workers present"

The other way of not being caught by a SPEC camera, is to slow right down between the camera's. These work on time over a set distance.
Erm, doesn't that defeat the object though? Might as well maintain a steady speed within the limit.
Useful tip if you pass the first one over the limit and then spot it!

Maybe the bmw drivers already know how the specs cameras work
... its not rocket science, next time you are approaching some take a good look in front of you and think about it!redboy said:

... its not rocket science, next time you are approaching some take a good look in front of you and think about it!One over each lane!
I assumed there was an anle /volume issue but that the data gathered would be processed at one central point so it shouldn't matter which camera recorded the details. Clearly I am wrong!

It could be because BMW drivers are normally far more intelligent than the average driver.
