....about the warning triangle!
You know, the one is stuck to your boot lid with velcro. Well mine has come off a few times in the past, when it does I just half heartedly whack it back on. Job done. Except I had my roof in the boot yesterday.....and the triangle came off and was sliding all about.
I didn't realise until I got home - scratches all over the roof
. Luckily it's very superficial - a good wax will fix it but I thought I'd let people know in case any else hadn't thought through the consequences

If you have an 'S' it may be you don't need one - as far as I know, the reason the warning triangle had to be mounted in the bootlid was because on cars with the indicators in the roofline (as opposed to the S), when the bootlid is open the indicators (and therefore the hazard warning lights) are obscured, and hence some obscure bit of legislation requires that the warning triangle be visible. Agreed about the roof scratching issue - been there, polished the scratches out. Mine no longer resides in the bootlid, but I'm not sure if some eagle-eyed bobby (or MOT inspector?) might have a word to say about it. Thinking about it, maybe there is scope for a nice soft reflective fabric version that could be velcro'd to the inside of the bootlid?

I have just picked up my new Tuscan on Saturday and after reading this topic went and checked mine...
I am also missing the warning triangle! I have phoned up Kerridges, where I bought the car, to chase it up so will get back to you when I find out why mine is missing and by the looks of it why all new Tuscans are missing the warning triangle!
Will come back ASAP when I hear any more news.

I could never see the point of the warning triangle in the boot as normally you have to place it so many meters prior to the hazzard & anyway I think mine is glued on as it will not come off!The indicator/hazard lights is a good point.Best thing to do is have a seperate warning triangle.Always cover the roof when it is in the boot to prevent scratches.

Mine had one (new last month). I guess it's down to how good the dealer's PDI is.
The triangle has a sticker on it saying it is there due to the boot lid covering up the indicators, so I would assume the S would not need one.
It is not meant to be a warning triangle like the French insist you stick in the road if you break down, it is mearly there so that people can see the car is a hazard when stopped - although how this is supposed to work is beyond me as there is more than a good chance you will be stood in front of it trying to get to stuff in the boot!!

Absolutely right - its there to indicate a warning when the rear boot lid obscures your hazards. To be honest I think its mainly to forfil roadworthy regulations.
