removing v8 distributor

Hi im looking at replacing the distributor on a serpentine rover V8 with a cran sensor and twin coil packs ( already have the ecu fitted)



does anyone have experience of doing this and the main question is can i just remove the dissy and blank off the hole ?. I dont think you can on the older engine as the oil pump is driven from the bottom of the dissy but i dont think this is the same for the later serpentine engine ?

No problem on Serpentine motors with diz elimination. Just get a plug made and put it in the hole!
