JUST BEEN TOLD THAT MY 2.5 BOXSTER 1999 V 61,000 MILES HAS BEEN WRITTEN OFF!!!!! HAS ANYONE ANY IDEA WHAT SORT OF PRICE I`LL BE OFFERED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY? WHICH IS TESCO BY THE WAY!

THIS IS A SAD DAY!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear that.

Have a look in autotrader to see what they're being offered for in the market.

Don't get too worked up on the 1st offer - they're duty bount to take the piss as they are insurance companies rolleyes

you're looking at between £11,000 and £16,000 depending on colour, extras and condition

with insurance companies they'll always try and offer you less than its worth, just do some research, look for some examples of a similar model type (preferably one thats worth more than they are offering ) and use them as proof your car is worth more.

At a guess I'd expect an offer of £10-11k but I was offered £12k without trying as a trade buy (not trade in) for my 98R with 72k on the clock. (I hate selling privately so much i'm willing to lose a pony or two than put up with tyre kickers.)
