Some bar-steward redesigned my drivers door on my 3 month old jag (BLACK X TYPE) in York GNER station car park between Monday 16th 6:16 and Friday 20th 17:45 last week. They reversed into it from a parking bay you could get a bendibus out of! Unfortunately the CCTV hasn't caught the culprit. A long shot but if anybody was using York station car park last week and noticed a Black X type with stoved in drivers's door (car parked at south end of car park in a single bay)if they could let us know what day they spotted it, would help in narrowing down the CCTV footage to view. The other vehicle must be damaged at the back with the severity of impact.
This is the second time this has happened to me in the GNER car park at York in 16 months and I have had to claim for new doors on both occasions (p***ed off). Be aware the CCTV cameras are useless, can't see in the dark and are constantly moved so miss most of the actiona nd GNER have the cheek to charge £48 a week for secured parking <joke>!!!!!!!!

Do these types of places not accept any kind of responsibility then?

[quote=97+04] Who did you get in touch with to check cameras?

Hi,
I got hold of British Transport police based at the station (needed incident number for insurance), they were good and said they'd do the culprit if they had the video evidence, but the CCTV's are run and monitored by GNER staff. The police got the GNER staff to come and see the vehicle and to check that the camera was on the car, the police insisted GNER check back over the videos but the car was parked for the full working week, a lot of tape, the camera was moved during the week and so it's possible the culprit hit the car when the camera was pointing elsewhere.
