Last weekend, myself and 11 fellow motoring enthusiasts had a great days driving in Northumberland. This was organsed by myself and a friend. I did the people arrangeing and he sorted the routes.

I'm keen to do more of these in the North East/North Yorkshire area and, therefore, would like to make an appeal for routes. Preferred roads are NSL (obviously). I am looking at drives of around 1.5 hours each. The more the merrier.

Also, can anyone recommend driver friendly places (cafe, pub, etc..) for us to meet. The format for these drives is that people drive their own car and pair up with an observer. Then they sawp over. So at any time half the cars are left parked-up. Obviously, it is important that we find somewhere that is secure but also OK with this arrangement. Inevitably, we'll need refreshements and lunch/dinner at some point, so a good quality selection of food is also important.

I'm posting this in both the North East and North Yorkshire sections of the forum, to gain the maximum exposure.

Any help or guidance would be very grateful appreciated. If you have pre-planned routes, we will, of course, acknowledge them (XX from PH!) when we get them printed up.

GGGGGGrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... so do I. Plenty of good routes to spend a few hours on but its late and I need my driving sleep before tomorrows blast on those 'shite' roads.

Not sure if it's the greatest idea, listing our favourite roads into the public domain.

Happy to share if it's to remain more private though.

North Yorks/Northumberland/Cumbria has some fantastic roads.
