would love to do one of these events but i am shocked at the price difference in these two events. If anyone here has done one or both of these events before please can you post to give me an idea why there is such a big price difference. The gumball seems to get all the attention but my god its an extra 24k.
cheers martin.

I imagine one is more profitable to the owners of the event than the other!

Very that was a good trip.
I did Gumball in 2003, which was more affordable then, and agree that the budget is silly - but that's what it takes if you wanna be a wannabe with the glitteratti...

The Cannonball looks a good wheeze on your photos.

Will you be doing it again?

Rob - cheers

Andrew - Cannonball was great, that was the very first one back in 2002. Like most people there i had no interest in celebrity spotting, i wanted to have a good crack through Europe with a variety of cars and like minded people. I think what i expected it to be was what Eurohoon is now.

I won't do the Cannonball again, nor will i do the Gumball - both seem to be just about the pose now, and insecure people trying to outboast each other...

Think i may have to do Eurohoon next year though

A friend of mine just did the Cannonball and loved it. Various photos on his site www.screem.co.uk

He won the award for best driving round the Hungaroring and I at least get a credit for trying to show him how to drive his car (round the slightly less glamorous Ty Croes).

Yes I agree.

I want to do the motoring in a satisfying car, and see lots of Europe, but without the idiots (sorry any Gumballers who are not idiots, but the real idiots - you know who you are).

A mini hoon or eurohoon sounds a good plan
