Independent garages in Leeds

The Focus is coming up to it's 3 year mark and the warranty has run out. The Ford dealer that I was using (and thought they were quite good) has closed down today. I refuse to use the other main dealers in Leeds as I think they are a shower of muppets, although the parts guy was quite good.
Has anyone got any recommendations on a small garage that they know they can trust to do what's needed without trying to rip you off at every turn??? Or is that asking for too much these days...

I've used Exhaust Discounts for a few things (MOT on the Beemer, MOT and new radiator in the ZX).
They do a lot more than exhausts, despite the name, and I've always found them fair and reasonable and easy to talk to. The location is very convenient for my work too, which helps.

We use a small family run independant garage at work for our non warranty work, and job s on vehicles when they are out of warranty.
It is called RH SIRREL & SONS, based in Scholes, they are also good on price for tyres, and do MOT tests.
It depends where you are in Leeds but Scholes is only 2 minutes off the A64.

It was the Otley Ford. Apparently they went into administration a couple of weeks back and when I phoned yesterday to book an MOT I was told that the business had closed that day.
I know they were dealer prices but they were miles better than any of the other ones in Leeds and it's the little details that count. Always had a car for us, even gave us one of the staff cars when nothing was available. Always done on time, etc....

If you want someone nearer, I use a great, knowledgeable guy called Andy Turner, who has his own business called Andy Turner Motor Engineering in Kirkstall Tel 0113 278 4003.
He is ex world champion F1 Stock Car racer using his own prepared RV8 engines,still supplies engines to a lot of the top drivers, and also seems to know all the quirks of TVRs.
I take both my TVR Wedge and Vectra SRi to him for all my work and he does all types of car.
Lots of the WYTVRCC guys are starting to use him and one (Alex) is really happy with a complete engine rebuild Andy did (which also cost a lot less than quoted elsewhere)

The Site actually has RH Sirrel and Steve Sirrel on it as well. I believe they are Brothers and Bikes and the recovery business are Steve's thing (though he still does cars), so make sure you get the right one.
And I believe they don't talk to each other following a fall out ages ago. Not sure if still the case.
I've had work and MOT's done by the guys now at Toll Bar Garage in Garforth. Very reasonable, honest people.
