Service Indication on 997 C2S

I Started the car the other day and saw a warning message on the console which read "Service Car in next 30 Days".
Having been under the impression that the car required its first service at either 20,000 miles or 2 years (neither of which is the case) I called the dealer for advice.
They were clueless as to why the message had appeared (they didn't actually seem to believe me that it had) but told me that it must require a service. They could not explain the message at all.
Anyone seen this on their car or have any theories?
