circuit guide for Bedford Autodrome?

Circuit driver magazine do a comprehensive guide to all UK Circuits, including all of the Bedford configurations www.circuitdriver.com. Worth getting if you plan to visit more tracks in due course.

You can buy the "Dunlop Circuit Guide" (This is the Circuit Driver guide) here. Well worth the money and covers nearly all the circuits you will visit - including Bedford Autodrome.
Bedford is really flat and featureless. I've only driven the GT circuit - which is a humoungously long lap. Great fun, though. Loads and loads of runoff everywhere so extremely safe.
The downside is because its so safe people to tend to overextend themselves and its the place I have seen the most spins and offs of any circuit on a Track Day. So its seriously important to leave room around you. You don't want two cars coming together - its pretty much the only way anything nasty is going to happen.

I saw a Golf and a 340R have a rather expensive coming together a couple of years back after one of them spun off and came back across the circuit collecting the other.

And if they'd been following the rules that happening would have been that much less likely...not impossible, of course. Its a track. Unless you are on it by yourself its possible two cars will come together.

been there a few years back....as you say somewhat flat and featureles but it's nice to have some more info to assist! I've used a mates Dunlop Guide before and it was pretty good. I think I shall just spend some money then!

p.s. i think i've done about twenty track days here and there. I think i've only been at one where there wasn't a minor or major coming together between two cars at one point. I've only ever seen two damaged vehicles NOT caused by hitting another driver rather than a bit of circuit!

This is why I do PCGB days...although its not totally unknown at those...!
