There aren't any. GT4 is cheat free.

There aren't any. Unless you use some external device, or buy a saved game from someone.

It's prettty easy using the B-spec driver to make a stack load of money with which to buy cars (I've found that El Capitan 200 miles-1m credits incl prize car and 24hr Nurburgring- 5m credits- are best for this. Best of all the car from the former will easily win the latter). All tracks unlock after a period of time. The only tedium is that second hand cars go round in a 700 day loop. You can determine when they are going to come round by googling the issue which will give you the order that this happens in (how bored must some people be that they feel they need to compile such a thing?)

....but around day 700 of each "loop" there are a few very, very special "Black" cars that can only be bought second hand.

Very special indeed yes

I have the original of GT4 but my PS2 is chipped so that may be the reason
what i did worked (i can't honestly remember!).
Anyway, i downloaded a saved game from the net and went hunting to see
if there was a way i could use it without having to buy something to hook up the
PS2 mem card to my PC.
I found a few sources that explained how to burn the save game to a boot disc
which you put into the PS2 and then transfered the save game to the mem card.

It worked for me anyway and i now have billions (i kid you not) in cash and over 700 vehicles
in the garage.

Like i say though, it may have only worked because the machine was chipped.
I also only did this because i purchased the Jap version of the game when it was first launched
and got the PAL version later on so i just wanted a quick way to get all the goodies.

Alternatively and as mentioned you can buy a GT4 cheat cd.

If you really don't want to mess about though or spend some dosh i would be happy to
mail you my mem card, you could copy it and then mail it back?

Digby,

Thanks for the offer, but probably best not to risk your memory card.

I guess we'll have to do it the long way. Probably be more fun that way anyway.

You can download a complete save file from the net, buy a £7 donlge thing that attaches to your PC and memory card, transfer the data across and you have someone else's save file and all the cars!

I've never done anything with them but given the PS2 has USB ports on the front of it could you not somehow do it with a pen drive? (one of those USB storage stick things- I'm technical too see)

Pretty sure they do. You'll need a few million mind. Best way for money is german touring cars - repeatdly win it on b-spec and total profits should equal about a million in 10minutes...

They do come around again.. but they dont all appear on Day 700 of the loop. A couple of them are available slightly earlier IIRC

Starts at day 695..., every time you buy one a day increases, ditto with selling a car!
